Maryan Faithful Through And Through

GREEN is the colour for Maryan Shved. The 21-year-old winger has been playing in the green and white of Karpaty Lviv in Ukraine. Now, having signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the Scottish champions, he’s looking forward to pulling on the famous green and white Hoops.

That won’t come until next season, with the winger returning to his former club on loan until the end of their season. But he’s looking forward to a new challenge in his career, having made the step-up to Celtic.

He is one of a number of players who have arrived at Paradise during the January transfer window. Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah have both joined on six-month loan deals, with the two forwards already making an impact in their early appearances.

German defender, Jeremy Toljan, has also signed for the club on a six-month loan deal from Borussia Dortmund, while Americans, Manny Perez and Andrew Gutman, have returned to the United States on loan deals, having committed their futures to Celtic.

And Shved is looking forward to joining up with his new team-mates, after he’s helped Karpaty Lviv in the remainder of their Ukrainian league campaign.
