Billy McNeill’s last ever pre-match in Paradise

THE family of Billy McNeill were joined by over 10,000 Celtic fans who made their way to Paradise an hour-and-a-half before kick-off on Saturday, to pay homage to the club’s greatest ever captain.

Cesar’s statue has become a shrine since he passed away last week and that was never more evident than on Saturday morning with the bronze colossus shining in the Paradise sun, surrounded by a sea of green and white scarves dotted with the colours of other clubs in tribute to one of Scottish football’s greatest ever icons.
