LAST month, the Celtic FC Women’s team moved to professional status for the first time. On Tuesday, some of squad’s biggest and brightest stars joined new manager, Fran Alonso for a live Q&A session at Paradise to mark the official launch of the Hoops’ inaugural professional season.

Hosted by Celtic TV’s Gerry McCulloch, the event, sponsored by Indigo Unified Communications, saw Fran Alonso, squad captain Kelly Clark, and new signings Lisa Robertson and Sarah Teegarden answering questions from audience members, as they look ahead to an exciting professional era for the girls in green and white.
“We have gelled together in such a short space of time working together,” said Fran Alonso on stage at last night’s event. “We became a family in Gran Canaria.”
Teegarden, who joined the club last month, said she’s delighted to be part of the Celtic FC Women’s side at such an important time, and looks forward to making more history in the season ahead.
