While it’s notable that a re-measuring of the famous, and often pivotal, Arenberg Trench has led it to be listed as 100m shorter than previously thought, the route is largely unchanged from the 2018 edition. Arenberg is among a handful of sectors that have received an update from the keepers of the cobbles, Les Amis de Paris- Roubaix, and now has concrete joints between the stones inserted, removing the grass that was there, which they say will actually make the sectors harder.
