Sigma Sport’s Tom Crump offers advice on what to look out for
-
CW: Is there a typical aero bike rider profile?
SS: Generally they’re performance driven riders who have been influenced by the WorldTour and professional races and now want to gain the aero advantage for themself.
CW: So the rider would be pretty knowledgeable about the aero bike they want?
SS: They can be, but we really recommend an aero specific bike-fit before they make a final decision. It takes account of a rider’s individual flexibility and core strength, so we can help direct them to models and set-ups where they are effcient and comfortable while still being as aerodynamic and powerful as possible.
