The USA could emerge as India's partner of choice for advanced defence technologies even as India relooks at its longstanding dependence on Russia for its military needs. A report

India-America Bhai Bhai ! A Change In Direction

Russia's ill-advised invasion of Ukraine has turned into a quagmire for its armed forces and one that has stirred the hornets' nest in Europe, with European nations dramatically increasing their defence budgets to cater for what they perceive as an aggression against the whole of Europe by Russia. While France and Israel have been India's trusted defence partners for decades, there could also be near-term supply constraints for European defence companies as their own nations ramp up production to meet their own requirements, leaving little for the countries that urgently need to acquire modern defence platforms or driving prices up for the same. The USA on the other hand has an unmatched defence industrial base and companies like Boeing, Raytheon, General Atomics, BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman, Textron Aviation, and Northrop Grumman are already ramping up production of defence equipment for domestic and export needs.
