Wrestler Sushil claims he went to marquee event against his wishes.

Following his debacle at the World Wrestling Championships in Kazakhstan last week, two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar admitted that he earlier decided not to go for the event but gave it a go against his wishes after his coach Kamal Malikov egged him on to participate.

The 36-year-old grappler’s horrendous form at the international level continued as lost to Azerbaijan’s Khadzdimurad Gadzhiyev in the first round of 74 kg category. Prior to that, he was knocked out in first round again at the Asian Championship in China last April.
