The Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) has taken suo moto cognisance of the incident in which a metro commuter was sexually harassed by a co-passenger.

The commission has also served notice to Delhi Police and Metro Police seeking action taken report.

"This is very serious and shocking matter keeping in view of traveling in the metro is considered as the safest mode of transportation in Delhi and NCR cities. Such an incident discourages women from traveling in the metro," said Swati Maliwal, DCW chief.
