No Power Snapping In Mumbai For Now Over Non-Payments

FOLLOWING the large-scale resentment among the people with regard to inflated electricity bills, the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has set up a 3-tier consumer grievance redressal mechanism to address the issue. It further added that no connection will be disconnected for non-payment until the bill related grievance of the consumer is redressed.

MERC said that it is aware of the unrest among the consumers with increased electricity bills for the month.
