‘Every citizen will get equal & best treatment in Delhi Govt’s facilities’
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday directed the health department to put an end to the ‘VIP culture’ and ensure citizens get ‘equal’ and ‘best quality’ treatment in the in state-run hospitals. The CM asserted that there would be no private rooms for VIPs in these hospitals.
“I have directed the Health department to end VIP culture in government hospitals,” Kejriwal wrote on Twitter while sharing a report about his government’s plan to increase the capacity by 120 % by 2023.
Of the 38 hospitals in the state capital run by the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government, there are a few which have private rooms that can be booked at a premium.
