Fresh Footage Twist In Jamia Violence Case

The controversy surrounding the Jamia violence refuses to die. On December 15, the Delhi Police used batons and tear gas to disperse a violent mob during a protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). However, Jamia students denied that they were involved in the violence and instead accused the police of brutality.

India Today TV has exclusively accessed 28 CCTV clips of Jamia premises, including those from the library and main gate no. 7. The videos punch a hole in the accusations of police excesses. The new footage shows students pelting the police with stones at the Jamia library entry gate. Masked students are seen picking big stones and breaking them into smaller pieces to target the force.
