Runs haven’t come easy in his 24th Ranji season for 41-yearold Wasim Jaffer but that didn’t dwindle his confidence on a pace-friendly Feroze Shah Kotla track against Delhi.

While the entire Vidarbha side was bundled out for a paltry 179, they couldn’t thank their star batsman enough, who held on to one end to ensure team crossed 150-mark. His crafty 83-run innings came to an end following a beautiful inswinger by Ishant Sharma; dislodging the stumps.

The way Jaffer went about his second fifty of the season, one couldn’t stop but wonder what it will take for the former Indian opener to take a call on his career.
