Consistent in bumpers, the Padraig Roche-trained Via Rosa can make a winning start to her hurdling career in the Enniscrone Mares Maiden Hurdle which opens today’s Sligo card.

Padraig's In The Pink With Rosa

A five-year-old Milan mare, half-sister to Kilmington Rose, a three-time winner over hurdles for Paul Nicholls, Via Rosa has been placed in three of her four bumpers outings, showing the first signs of ability when third to Apple Crumble at Punchestown last May.

She then bumped into a smart previous winner, Jeremys Jewel, whose form included a fifth placing in a Grade 2 mares event at Leopardstown, in Wexford.
