NEW Gloucester City recruits Keanu Marsh-Brown is back in familiar surroundings and is looking to repeat a feat he achieved just 15 miles down the road.

The pacy forward played a crucial role in propelling The Tigers’ local rivals Forest Green Rovers to promotion from the National League in 2017 and is determined to push for silverware in the West Country once again.

“It is certainly an area that I know well, so it seemed like a pretty perfect fit,” the 28-year-old told The NLP.

“It is close to where I live so there won’t be any adapting time really, I can go head first into action right away!”

Marsh-Brown links up with one of NonLeague’s ascendant forces, with Gloucester sitting proudly at the top of the National League North; however, for an attacker, joining a side who had found the net a phenomenal 28 times in 13 games before this weekend could be seen as something of a mixed blessing.
