TIGERS RALLY TO BOOST JORDAN

HYDE United captain Jordan Fagbola says the club have gone “above and beyond” by setting up a fundraiser to aid his recovery from a horror injury.

Fagbola, 26, ruptured his achilles tendon in training last week and faces up to a year on the sidelines.

The injury – which will require an operation – also means he will have to take time off work as a nutritionist for a gym in Bolton.

Yet the NPL side have pledged to honour the defender’s contract, and even created a gofundme page aimed at raising £5,000 to help Fagbola make ends meet.

“I can’t speak highly enough of the people at Hyde,” he said. “And the thing is, I wasn’t even surprised. This is my third year at the club and I know how well they treat people.
