LEAGUE One Bolton Wanderers snatched a dramatic late equaliser to deny FC United – just moments after the Rebels came within inches of adding a killer second.

Neil Reynolds’ men led through a trialist in the opening minute of the second half, but after Fin Sinclair-Smith hit the inside of the post, George Johnston tapped home the leveller in stoppage time.

The Northern Premier League outfit will take many positives from the visit of a strong Trotters side whose manager Ian Evatt conceded that the home side deserved victory.

“Credit to them, I thought they were excellent,” Evatt, the former Barrow boss, said. “They were brilliant, they played really well and deserved to win the game.”
