Magpies soar up to fifth!

MAIDENHEAD United wrapped up 2020 in fine style with a thumping win over fellow high-fliers Wealdstone to move up to fifth in the National League.

The Magpies put on a display of attacking prowess and defensive resilience with two goals in each half enough to claim the three points.

Ryan Upward gave the hosts the lead inside four minutes with his first goal of the season before Josh Coley doubled the hosts’ advantage with a composed finish before half time.

Danilo Orsi-Dadomo wasted no time in making it three two minutes into the restart and Blissett completed the rout five minutes later.

“It was the perfect Christmas,” said Maidenhead boss Alan Devonshire.

“It was a great performance against a good side. I’m really glad we haven’t got a game Monday because now we can build-up for the second leg of the game in January.”
