Dragons show no signs of rust

WREXHAM’S defenders once again played a key attacking role as the Dragons shook off any rust from their enforced break to see off bottom club Dover Athletic at the Racecourse Ground.

Wing-back Reece Hall-Johnson scored his third goal of the season for a Wrexham side playing for the first time since December 28, only to be cancelled out by Ahkeem Rose’s equaliser for the visitors.

Centre-back Fiacre Kelleher then restored the Dragons’ advantage with his first goal for the club before Luke Young’s sealed the points with a penalty deep into stopppage time.

“We’ve come back in after our break,” said relieved manager Dean Keates. “It’s a little break, gives us a reset opportunity and we’ve trained really well going into it.
