Since my last column, I’ve been to Portimao,Monteblanco and Silverstone twice for the BSBtests and they’ve all gone really well.

I feel like I’ve clicked with the bike so we can really start moving forward. We’re just chipping away, taking baby steps and it seems to be working – I don’t want to run before I can walk, like I have done in the past. I think I just always wanted everything too soon, but I’m trying to be a bit more mature about it all now. I’ve been seventh in both tests with consistent times in and out of traffic and I’m not having big slides or tearing tyres up so I know I have got a bit more pace in me.

It’s mega to be looking forward to a full year with the same team. The support Honda are giving me is absolutely amazing and it’s great having Xavi (Fores) and Andrew (Irwin) in the team; it’s just a really good atmosphere. When we go away it’s like being on holiday with a big bunch of mates.
