Award-winning photographer David Chapman turns his lens on Pentire Point in the latest in his series exploring Cornwall’s most scenic spots

Stepped in History

The Pentire Point to Widemouth AONB takes in some famous locations including Port Isaac, Tintagel and Boscastle. It stretches from Pentire Point in the west to Millook in the north stretching a short distance inland.

THE PRACTICALITIES

Park in Boscastle to explore the pretty harbour and amazing coast; Park near Bossiney to explore the lovely Rocky Valley and coastline nearby; or try Port Quin from where there is a great circular walk to Port Isaac.

THE PHOTOGRAPHY

In Port Isaac, Boscastle and Tintagel this AONB has some of the most popular villages in Cornwall but for my article I am going to find some places a little more off the beaten track. I am going to concentrate on the area around Crackington Haven which is less busy and enhanced by some amazing geology.
