“The Italian Riviera was always on our mind for the honeymoon. What makes a European vacation perfect is the time of year and weather, which is why we went in late August,” says Tina Kakkad Dhanak, co-founder of the blog, The Image Code, who married Abhishek Dhanak, a partner at Dhanak Jewels, on August 6, 2016.

The couple planned an 18-day-long vacation, across Rome, a vineyard in Tuscany, Florence, Positano, and Capri. Spurred by her husband’s love for good food, wine, and adventure, the Dhanaks checked into Il Borro in the Tuscan suburbs, an estate-turned-vineyard run by the (Salvatore) Ferragamo family. And at Capri, they spent a day exploring the island on a private boat, swam near the Faraglioni rocks, and discovered the Blue Grotto.

“We dedicated a day to trying out one dish at every restaurant in Florence,” says Tina, adding that the fare at Locale Firenze and I Fratellini were favourites. The couple also shopped at the many family-run and designer stores in Capri. “A visit to the local museums was the cherry on the cake.”
