Holiday Vicariously In Your Own Home

A Balinese-inspired concept allows the owners to holiday vicariously in their own home.

After being forced to shelter in place for most of the last two years, many of us are desperately pining for leisure travel and overseas holidays. For the owners of this 1,500sq ft condo apartment, they decided to recreate the resort holiday they’ve been deprived of within their own home.

They commissioned Design Zage to imbue their three-bedroom apartment with a resort-style atmosphere, incorporating some Balineseinspired elements yet keeping it modern at the same time. Designers Zhuo Jinhai and Shirley Ng developed a contemporary tropical look, underpinned by raw textures like cement and wood, complete with rafters and real wood shelves to really nail the villa vibe.
