Brand Story Valcucine

|May 2019
In 1980, four Italian entrepreneurs Gabriele Centazzo, Giovanni Dino Cappellotto, Franco Corbetta and Silvio Verardo came together to offer a new dimension to the existing ‘kitchens’ market — their kitchens were to offer a wider range of personalisation. Customisation, innovation and technology were the driving ethos of this coming together of kindred spirits who called their company Valcucine. Within a year they launched their first offering ‘Gland’, a curved kitchen unit with recessed handles, which was very well received by the market. On a roll since then, little wonder that every decade marked a major turning point.

THE JOURNEY
Valcucine’s first decade was marked by the production of kitchen models in which personalisation and innovative production processes were the key to success. In the 90s, Ricicla, which later developed into Riciclantica, was the first kitchen with an aluminium frame and a panel that was only 2 mm thick — world’s slimmest and lightest cabinet door. At the end of this decade, the iconic Artematica was born. It came equipped with the first invisible panel from the outside, plus a 5 mm thick, aesthetic, HPL door with an aluminium frame. The glass version was presented in 2006.
Another landmark addition was the ergonomic system in kitchens, the Logica System, (1997). The system features an equipped back section, jumbo drawers and wall units with lift-up doors that makes it easier to work in the kitchen. The special New Logica System and Air Logica System units were developed as an evolved version of the equipped back section and wall units.
