The Carrara marble dividing wall makes a beautiful backdrop for the freestanding bath. As well as creating a style statement, the wall conceals a double shower and also a toilet that is hidden behind frosted glass doors. The honed Carrara marble is from CDK Stone.

A sophisticated and classic colour palette was the stylish base for this ensuite in a new Hamptons-style home in a Melbourne beachside suburb. “We wanted to have a really open, calm space,” says homeowner Kate. “This is our forever home, so we were after longevity and a style that wouldn’t go out of date, one that was timeless.” A practical and functional bathroom was also part of the brief to designer Serena Elise of White Chalk Design. “They wanted a very luxurious hotel-style bathroom that had a feeling of space,” says Serena. “We chose the marble slab [for the feature wall] and worked back from there.”
