Actor Sanya Malhotra speaks to Cosmo India about her latest release, Kathal, how she deals with criticism, and what she loves about social media

Cosmo: Let’s talk about your new film Kathal...

Sanya Malhotra: “My character Mahima Basor is a cop, who has to find a missing kathal [jackfruit] that’s been stolen from a local politician’s house.”

C: Was it tough playing a cop?

SM: “No, it wasn’t... I truly enjoyed essaying this character as I have never played the role of a cop before. And in order to prep for this role, I had to ensure my body language and dialect was both fierce yet sweet.”

C: You have been a part of the industry for almost seven years. How would you describe your journey?
