BOOK SMARTS
Till Sept 22 this year, artist Wolfgang Tillmans — one of the most thought-provoking and influential documentors of youth culture since the 1990s — stages an epic exhibition at the Bibliotheque Publique d’Information, or BPI, in the Centre Pompidou in Paris before the arts centre shuts for a major five-year renovation. Titled Nothing Could Have Prepared Us — Everything Could Have Prepared Us, it covers his entire oeuvre, integrating video, music, sound and personal objects with his prints, and is displayed in response to the architectural surroundings, resulting in a whole new way of exhibiting photography.
