She’s known for her megawatt smile but Julia Roberts is said to be nursing a secret heartache – amid fears her family is being torn apart.

The 51-year-old actress, who memorably lost her sister Nancy Motes to suicide in 2014, has been rocked by a fresh crisis involving her sister-in-law Jyl Moder, 53.

Jyl – the sister of Julia’s cinematographer husband Danny Moder, 50 – has previously endured a battle with alcohol, and now shocking audio has been uncovered that reveals how a “very confused” Jyl had police in California’s Riverside County on speed dial in 2016, as she bombarded them with emergency phone calls.

In one call, Jyl told police her girlfriend had downed a bottle of vodka and wouldn’t leave, while in another she admitted to being drunk. A boozing session with friends ended in a brawl, with a mate of Jyl’s requiring medical help.
