Leroy Logan battled racism when he joined the police force in the 1980s
Star Wars actor John Boyega plays a black man who faces fury from his father and discrimination from his colleagues after joining the police force.
Based on real events, the latest Small Axe film, Red, White and Blue, begins in 1983 when two policemen viciously beat Leroy Logan’s dad, Kenneth (Steve Toussaint), simply for parking his lorry in the wrong place.
