AN EXTRAORDINARY CHILD ACTOR HELPS BRING A BELOVED CHILDREN'S BOOK TO THE BIG SCREEN

 In most ways Jacob Tremblay is a perfectly average 11-year-old boy. He loves “playing video games and soccer with my friends and binge-watching Stranger Things” and nearly bursts with excitement when anyone mentions the next Star Wars movie. But onscreen the Vancouver-born sixth grader has an emotional power that has taken him to the Oscars red carpet and made him Hollywood’s most in-demand young star. “Usually someone is more of a child or more of an actor, and he’s a perfect blend of both,” says Wonder director Stephen Chbosky. “When a once-in-a-generation talent is the perfect age, you just thank your lucky stars.”
