As many of Bath's independent shops begin to reopen and the city comes alive with visitors, Visit Bath highlights some of the one of a kind boutiques to discover.

In South Gate, near the train station, you will find the award-winning children’s toy shop My Small World Toy Store. Dedicated to finding unique and amazing toys and books, the owners source brands that are beautiful, educational and often out of the ordinary, including Djeco, Moulin Roty, Meri Meri, Ridley’s, Moluk, and Tender Leaf Toys.

Design-led independent department store Rossiters of Bath in Broad Street also has a wonderful retro children’s collection, along with a treasure trove of gifts, homeware, and furniture from British brands and designers.

Tucked away in Union Passage – described by Jane Austen as ‘this interesting passageway’ – family-run The Silver Shop of Bath has been selling silver jewelry, watches and other gifts since 1952. The shop, which has a traditional, warm feel, comprises of two parts, with the jewelry room consisting mainly of silver jewelry and the gift area at the front offering a large range of gift ideas.

Grace & Ted offers designer labels for men and women
