DAYS out in our countryside beckon now that spring has arrived. It’s time to get the picnic basket out of winter storage and fill it with locally made produce; to plan weekend trips by bike, perhaps book up a festival or try glamping this year.

We are fortunate to have the Ridgeway trail as the backbone of our region, linking heritage sites, nature reserves, chalk downlands and wooded valleys. It’s just one of the many attractions which make Berkshire and Buckinghamshire a wonderful area to live.

Rural tourism is key to our enjoyment of our local countryside, through providing visitor attractions, walking or cycling trails, local food and drink production, camping or the great British pub.
