Vivaldi Is Made For You!

It would not be wrong to refer to him as the “browser man,” for Jon Von Tetzchner has a penchant for creating browsers. he was one of the founders of opera, one of the world’s most famous web browsers, and now is the ceo of vivaldi, another browser company. what’s it with him and browsers? and what is so special vivaldi? Nimish Dubey tried to find out.

Right, so call me the Devil’s advocate, but does the world need yet another browser?

All the major browsers have a similar philosophy. they aim to make browsers that are simple. Features that are not used by the majority are removed. the problem is that when you do that, you end up with a browser that lacks the features that many people want. We spend more time in front of the browser than anything else we do. Many of us spend hours each day. thus this tool matters more than any other tool and you should get a browser that is optimized for you. that is what Vivaldi is. It is made for you!

And this follows from the first question: if the world needs a new browser, why should it be Vivaldi? What makes the browser special?

Vivaldi is a lot more personal. We understand that we are all different. We all have our own way of working. We all have our own preferences on how things should look and feel. Vivaldi adapts to you and your needs.

How challenging was it to come out with a browser in a world dominated by Chrome, Firefox, and IE?

I have been building browsers since 1994. It is what I do, so building browsers again feels very natural. We have to fight for every user and win them over, but we also believe we have the best browser for you and the users we have seem to agree. :)

Building on that. why would anyone want to move to Vivaldi from say, a Chrome?

Vivaldi looks fresh. You notice the colors very quickly and the fresh overall look. No gray here, unless that is what you want. but once you get to know Vivaldi, you start to notice the differences and there is a lot of them:
