Since February, when Kim Kardashian officially called it quits with rapper Kanye West, her fans, friends, and family have noticed a seismic shift in her demeanor. “For every week that goes by since she filed for divorce, Kim seems happier,” a source tells WHO’s sister publication People magazine. “She knows that filing for divorce was the right decision.”

On the back of a stressful stretch, punctuated by West’s ill-fated presidential bid that Kardashian has since attributed to a bipolar episode, the reality star and mogul is making the most of her freedom.

“The last year was extremely stressful and hard on her,” an insider tells E! News. “She had hoped for so long that they could work things out, and she didn’t want to give up. But now that she took that final step, she feels like she can focus on the future and finally move on.”
