Ray Liotta chalked up several unforgettable roles in a career that spanned four decades. He earned a Golden Globe nomination in 1986 for his big break as Ray Sinclair in Something Wild. After that, he warmed hearts as the ghost of baseball player Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams and is probably best known for playing real-life mobster Henry Hill in 1990's Goodfellas.

However, speaking to People magazine in November, he felt the best could be yet to come. "I've definitely had a career that's up and down. For some reason, I've been busier this year than I have in all the years that I've been doing this," he said. "And I still feel I'm not there yet. I just think there's a lot more."
