Single mom Jackie goes from home of two to family of five when her sister movies in new sitcom Broke.

The last time Pauley Perrette wason our screens, she played goth forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on NCIS (2003-now, she quit in 2018 after a rumored violent confrontation with lead star Mark Harmon, Gibbs on the show). The actress is a little less dark and dreary in her new sitcom Broke (2020), but she’s still not all that much of a people person. “Jackie, my character, is in a position that many people find themselves in single-parent and doing what it takes to support herself and her son Sammy (Antonio Corbo, Tate in horror series Into The Dark, 2018-now),” says Pauley.

That’s where the fun starts – while bartender Jackie is trying to survive and start her own business, her estranged sister Elizabeth (Natasha Leggero, Carmen in mockumentary series Dice, 2016-2017), poncy brother-in-law Javier (Jaime Camil, Mr Miranda in fantasy series Charmed, 2018-now) and their live-in friend Luis (Izzy Diaz, Danilo in drama series Snowfall, 2017-now) need a place to stay. And guess on whose door they knock? “She goes from two to five overnight,” adds Pauley about the new people suddenly living in her character Jackie’s house.
