PRINCE HARRY’S defiant wife, Meghan, viciously attacked ailing Queen Elizabeth in public — then the diva duchess went for the jugular when confronted privately by Her Majesty for disgracing the monarchy, The National ENQUIRER has learned.

“I’m told Meghan threw a terrible tantrum and told the queen to ‘Drop dead! I can do what I want!’ ” a high-level courtier revealed exclusively.

Now the 93-year-old monarch, as well as future king Prince William, are done with spoiled Meghan and her henpecked husband — and are planning shocking revenge!

“This is all-out war,” charged a senior palace official. “No one insults the queen and gets away with it.

“Her Majesty was trying to explain the importance of royal rules and protocol but Meghan blew up at her, saying, ‘We don’t need you! We’re bigger than the royal family. If anyone should be insulted, it’s us!’

“That was a huge mistake by a woman whose ego has gotten out of control!

Meghan has acted like a spoiled brat since she married Harry in 2018, sources dished. And now her “my way or the highway” edict has ripped hapless Harry from his family and threw the royals into chaos, an insider said.

“The queen bent over backwards trying to accommodate their selfish demand for freedom, but all Meghan’s done is thumb her nose at her efforts,” the insider told The ENQUIRER.

“The ongoing conflict has badly damaged the monarchy and strained personal royal relationships to the breaking point. Harry and William don’t speak and their wives hate each other!
