Irene Triplett, whose father fought for the Union Army between 1863 and 1865, passed away in North Carolina on May 31 at the age of 90.

She was born in 1930 when her father, Moses Triplett, was 83 years old and her mom, Elida, was 34. Moses died in 1938 at the age of 92.
