This year’s Star Awards Top 40 Most Popular Artistes list is full of surprises.
- Chin up: While FELICIA CHIN tells us that she “treasures” her nom, she feels a tad disappointed that her beau, Jeffrey Xu, didn’t make the cut. “Of course, [Jeffrey] was initially a bit disappointed,” she says. “When I received the news [about my nom], he was with me, and I saw that he didn’t get the message. We had filming on that day, and I didn’t want to affect his mood so I didn’t tell him that I was nominated. I thought, ‘Is it right of me not to tell him?’ ’Cos we’re very open with each other. But as an actor myself, I know that sometimes, when your emotions are affected, it’ll affect your acting. So I didn’t tell him for his own good. After he got to know about it, I felt he really needed someone to accompany and comfort him. So I took him to eat his favourite food.
