Depending on what model you choose (Sport 350, Sport 410 or Cup 430), which corresponds to their horsepower, the Exige’s driving experience can range from outright fun to mind-boggling exhilaration, based on the configurations you choose. The Lotus Exige is one of the few cars that can drive you to the office in the morning and then run a few laps at the track later in the afternoon without skipping a heartbeat. There is something lovable about a Lotus, always has been. While they’re about as basic as they come, you still get to feel the raw, untamed power of the vehicle as it was meant to be. There’s no pretense in a Lotus. It’s the closest thing to driving an actual racecar that you can get. Okay, you won’t find luxury dripping at your elbow as you would on a Ferrari or Porsche, but there is an understated elegance in the vehicle’s sheer simplicity and design.
