AI can speed and automate data collection, make fundamental observations, systemize HR issues, and differentiate customer and employee profiles. But, corrective measures and final decisions can only be approved by people who can understand how to leverage AI tools to acquire accurate information sans the noise and interpret them the right way.
A few months ago, an indigenous Artificial Intelligence (AI) system had to be shut down because it had begun to create its own language. And, in recent times, another indigenous AI taught itself to play chess in just four hours, and, was also able to devise moves that were hitherto unknown. While the aforementioned examples show the potential of AI on a bigger scale, the most prominent usage of cognitive technology can be witnessed in the way recurring jobs are being automated. This is due to the ability of AI to compute predetermined scenarios at a much faster rate and with greater accuracy than any human without the fatigue and boredom of repetitive work. A recent survey report shows 92% of HR leaders agreeing that the usage of AIbased tools for hiring, employee service, employee development and coaching will drive value to their organisation. For instance, there are systems that examine the pitch and tone of the candidate's voice for indications of dishonesty. In a nutshell, from helping users find new jobs to providing employee turnover statistics, the surge of AI-powered technologies has initiated a trend that would only get better with time.
