Security Goes Mainstream In The Digital World

In the digital business era, enterprise security is undergoing some major transitions. Security is now an integral part of the IT infrastructure, and a topic of most boardroom discussions. Both large and small organizations across the globe are waking up to the need for next-gen security architectures that can protect their businesses from the new wave of advanced cyber attacks.

In India, the enterprise security market is booming as organizations see more value in security spending and continue to focus on constant monitoring and response strategies. IT research firm Gartner had estimated security spending in India to reach $1.23B in 2016. The report also suggests that the proportion of security services spending to total IT security revenue is set to increase in the coming years. While Security services including, consulting, implementation, support and managed security services reportedly accounted for 57% of the total revenue in 2014, this is expected to go up to 60% by 2019, as per Gartner.

GROWING DEMAND FOR SECURITY SERVICES

With security threat incidents going up at an alarming pace, companies are getting more aware of the unwanted possibilities of security risks. Although experts suggest that India still has a long way to go when it comes to embracing robust security solutions, the overall outlook provides reason for hope.
