To celebrate is in our DNA. We need an excuse to celebrate, be festive, and live in that moment. Some could say we can be too boisterous, colourful, and bold. But the one thing that is a common thread is that we are inclusive—we like to celebrate our good times with people. We are warm, hospitable, and the feeling of sharing our happiness and joy is important for Indians. We may live anywhere in the world but when it comes to our celebrations, we are ‘pure Indian’ at heart. A wedding is just that… A celebration!

I have been designing and planning weddings for almost three decades and I have seen everything around us evolve in terms of lifestyle, design, travel, art, and entertainment—so have weddings. Today, design is at the centre of most experiences. To be interactive and have a great visual experience is the trend today. Even retail stores everywhere are concentrating on the experience for a customer; first there’s the design appeal and then the other factors come into play.

Our Indian weddings are a visual treat—a fabulous experience, which appeals to all the senses. It is a celebration of all that is beautiful, stylised, and colourful.
