Discussing a green future

(Top) Chief Guest Dr M N Pandey, Hon'ble Union Minister, Ministry of Heavy Industries, Govt Of India along with other dignitaries revealed a special EV report created by SMEV and EY

SMVE Conference

A few years back, the government decided that the way forward for vehicles in India would be electric. Then, every mainstream manufacturer and startup went all guns blazing to achieve the perfect electric car and motorcycle for India. Looking at the diverse conditions, these vehicles needed a lot of R&D before they could be launched. In simple words, these have to be made for India EVs. While the results are surely promising, there are a lot of things which need to be sorted out. Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles (SMEV) hosted the first edition of the National Conference for the EV industry under the theme of "EV Industry @ 2030: Future Roadmap" to discuss the same.

1. Jasmine Shah, VC of Dialogue and Development Commission, Govt. of NCT of Delhi spoke on how the government was working on adopting EV tech in the state.

2. Sohinder Gill, DG, SMEV said that EVs were the next big trend in mobility that can’t be reversed or decelerated.
