A new beginning

The facelifted Hyundai Creta arrives in Indonesia as a new product with sharper looks and new cabin tech. Pratik Rakshit takes a closer look at all the changes

The 2022 Hyundai Creta was unveiled in full at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2021, finally revealing the changes made to Hyundai’s popular midsize SUV. The teasers left little to the imagination, as the official stills show a heavy resemblance to the new-generation Hyundai Tucson. For 2022, Hyundai made comprehensive changes to the front end. Gone is the protruding snout and split headlight cluster, and is replaced by a new grille that combines LED daytime running lights, inspired by Hyundai’s ‘Parametric Jewel’ design philosophy.
