“I GOT INSPIRED AND PAINTED THE ONE I HAD AT HOME IN THE DAY OF THE DEAD STYLE”

My name is Bibi and I make Kustom art. My focus used to be mainly on Day of the Dead art, but to keep things more interesting for myself I now make tattoo art as well and do subversive cross-stitching. The things I make are usually very bright and colorful. I paint already-existing statues and try to turn them into something completely different or even the opposite of their intent. Lately, I have started painting anatomic hands too, for this I use Molotow markers which, for me, are ideal to work with.
About 7 years ago I was at a tattoo convention and noticed a Jesus statue that was customized. I got inspired and painted the one I had at home in the Day of the Dead style.
