Apply Now For Medicinal Cannabis Production Permits
The Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Health has advised that anybody who would like to produce cannabis, whether growing, manufacturing or exporting, could now apply for a permit.
Narend Singh of the Inkhata Freedom Party said that during its first meeting three years ago, the committee found the Medicines Related Substances Act, which made provision for the use and production of cannabis for medicinal purposes, lacking. Various steps has since been taken to remedy the situation, which included the development of production guidelines and quality control measures.
