It was a weekend filled with fun and frolic for Mumbaikars and their companions with wagging tails. Hundreds of pet owners turned up for PetFed Mumbai, held on MMRDA Grounds, BKC, on 16-17 December, 2017. While pet companions socialized with each other sharing their parenting problems and other issues, dogs of different breeds and almost all age groups and sizes were apparently keen on sniffing around their fellow canines in their bid to know each other. What stole everyone’s heart, especially the kids, was the ramp walk by the furballs. People thronged the venue waiting with bated breath for the doggie fashion show that soon started with ‘Goody Goody Boy Casper’ starting his walk on the red carpet. But awww! Instead of walking towards his human companion, Casper would rather walk towards the public laughing and clapping at his every move! Next came Shitzo, who was so focussed on completing the ‘task’ that it did not take him even five seconds to reach his Didi standing at the other end of the red carpet. Cherry, a Labrador wearing a cherry red cute skirt, too, was distracted by the crowds cheering her on and kept looking and sniffing the distractions than finishing her task. After Cherry, it was ‘Tiger’ who walked on the ramp, or rather ran on the ramp. Dogs of different breeds and shapes and sizes, some stylish while some modest, followed Tiger, but one thing that was common to all was the fun and enjoyment they had while walking on the ramp amidst laughter, excitement, and a lot of happiness. Dogs walked the ramp as their owners looked on gleefully. When walking on the ramp, the dogs were enjoying every moment and trying to make the most of it by sniffing the people standing in the wings. Every dog was looking at its best, freshly groomed! Many of them were wearing adorable accessories that were making them look cute. Colorful satin ribbons and bows, especially added to their looks.
