The last year was not particularly kind to the industry for various reasons. The industry has to battle new regulations, trust issues due to some members of the industry choose to do business differently. The industry is slowly limping back to business and we sincerely hope that the bad days for the industry are over. It is also very important for the industry to stand together and work towards winning back the trust from various quarters of the society and we are happy that the work has already started in this regard.

As the new financial year dons on us, we can only hoe for the better times for the industry as it is moving towards a more organised and transparent trade practices.

In this issue, we are presenting the annual gold survey by WGC along with an exclusive interview with Somasundaram. PR, Managing Director India WGC in which he talks about various issues related to gold , hallmarking etc. It would be ideal to have a glance back to last year and plan better for the next year. And of course, all your favourite regulars.

Among other articles, we urge you to take a look at Budding Designers folio, where we are presenting profiles of upcoming designers ,who we think are going to earn a name for themselves in the days to come. This is part of our intention of bringing the designers and manufacturers together and bridge the gap between both.
