The healthcare market in India has seen a sudden surge in health apps, both for doctors as well as patients. For instance, doctor directory and clinic management system Lybrate has launched two healthcare apps: Practice Management for doctors and Find Best Doctors for patients. There is Curofy, a medical networking app that enables safe and secure communication between doctors. Practo, India’s leading doctor search engine, also has a few apps for doctors, For patients, the health apps are several from companies like Mtatva, Netmeds, PlanMyMedicalTrip.com and others. According to PwC, the mHealth sector will become Rs 3000 crore market by 2017.
