My father, my angel

Woman's World reader Pamela Duffey needed reassurance that her parents were okay after they passed. So her dad sent her a sign. She writes:

As an only child, I was taking care of both my parents in their later years, starting in 2006 and then full-time in July 2022. My dad was diagnosed with brain cancer at age 91 and my mom had just turned 90 and was becoming increasingly forgetful.

The doctors said Dad had no chance of survival and pushed hard for hospice. Dad wanted to try, so we did. He lived a very hard six months before passing away in January 2023.

It was difficult because I was caring for them at their house. I lived four miles away but had three boys in their late teens and early 20s at home.

During this time, I was working full-time, but thankfully my supportive husband and sons helped out often.
